Random Rant

Well hello! And welcome to my blog!

My first thought for today stemmed from an incident wherein a small pad of paper launched itself off of my desk at work (clearly of its own accord), and managed to fall under my desk into a spot which was precisely--and i'm talking preCISEly--JUUUUUST out of reach of my fingertips.

Why is this always the case? I mean seriously--no joke, literally every single time an item falls down, be it from a desk, a bathroom sink, a dresser, what-have-you, it will inexplicably position itself in the area that will be a) inaccessible, and b) just barely so.

Today, for example, my fingertips strained just to brush the edge of my pad of paper that had fallen to its doom. So close, yet so, so far away. It's like fate does this as it's regular joke to try to see you attempt, and fail, to retrieve something which seems at first glance to be so attainable.

And it's never any other situation, either. It never falls directly below, where you can just grab it up and be on your merry paper-toting way. Oh no. Nor does it fall into the dark depths of somewhere that you KNOW you could never retrieve it from, so you may as well save your energy, give up the quest immediately and wallow in a bowl of ice cream for the rest of the afternoon. No....it is always this tease. This tantalizing game of lookey-lookey-come-and-get-it-ha-ha-no-you-can't.

I hate you, game. You do not play fair.
